Hi

I am in the process of building 'lfs Version 7.7-systemd'

I am at 6.10. Adjusting the Toolchain

The test 'grep 'SEARCH.*/usr/lib' dummy.log |sed 's|; |\n|g''

Gives

SEARCH_DIR("/usr/local/lib64") *
SEARCH_DIR("/lib64")           *
SEARCH_DIR("/usr/lib64")       *
SEARCH_DIR("/usr/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/lib")
SEARCH_DIR("/usr/local/lib")   *
SEARCH_DIR("/lib")
SEARCH_DIR("/usr/lib");

Those marked * are additional to the handbook

How do I correct this ?

It is fine. Note the following text:

"A 64-bit system may see a few different directories. For example, here is the output from an x86_64 machine:"

SEARCH_DIR("/usr/local/lib64")
SEARCH_DIR("/lib64")
SEARCH_DIR("/usr/lib64")
SEARCH_DIR("/usr/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/lib")
SEARCH_DIR("/usr/local/lib")
SEARCH_DIR("/lib")
SEARCH_DIR("/usr/lib");

Which is exactly the same as your output.
