An idea to get enterprises to go open source

I've been developing a high level concept for a product to change email in a big way and I'm looking for feedback/help.

I've vetted the software specs for the project but came here to get a better understanding of the hardware requirements/possibilities.

You can see the README on Github (hoping to contribute some code later today) https://github.com/isthisright/opene...ster/README.md

I'm trying to avoid getting into the technical weeds if no one's interested but I love talking about it if there's questions. We all use email and I've made my career in it but I'll be the first to admit its kinda "meh" to today's consumer. The technology exists to change it and I can market it to enterprises. Open source is the way to go for the market, the technology, and everyone who uses email. There will be a lot to work through as it's still largely never been done. What can I do to get the open source community behind the concept?

Thanks in advance,
Austin

I read the README, a few comments.

I'm sceptical because
1) Sellers want a visual experience in marketing, and users want to see what they're buying, as well as get all the info they want (which varies). What are you offering that, for example AliExpress or Ebay is not?
2) IM, & social networking are making inroads into email's territory, and commercial transactions generally. My kids never bother with email; I'll get a WhatsApp from them.
3) If things can be bought with email, some genius will sit down with your OSS code and figure out how to buy stuff with other people's money and your concept as you describe it seems very open to that. Security would be huge, and you hardly mentioned it. Any presentation of your ideas needs to clarify how spammers/hackers can't abuse the system.

As already said, the first thing people are going to look at is the security, or lack of it.
