Transmitting audio over RTP/Multicastin with pulseaudio issue (Linux mint -> RaspberryPi)

Hi,

I have a raspberry pi 2 with Raspbian installed that I want to use as a server for audio output. On the client side I have Linux Mint 18.2 where I have installed paprefs to enable RTP/Multicast. However, I don't see any device on my Client and not sure is the server is setup properly.

Anyone know how to trouble shoot this issue? I have been following this guide:
https://raspberrypi.stackexchange.co...c-to-my-stereo

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Indy

The output from server (Raspberry pi):
Code:

the article describes the opposite situation: streaming audio from the desktop pc to the pi.
over wifi.

so, you need to clarify to yourself and us what you really want to achieve.

then you need to provide much more detail about the steps you took.
if it doesn't work, you need to troubleshoot every single step.
if you need help, you need to not only provide output but also tell us where it comes from in what context.

First of all, sorry for a very very late response.
I thought I did that but clearly it wasn't described well enough. Let me give it another shot.

I want to stream audio from my laptop to raspberry pi 3. I have after a lot of messing finally managed to get it to work BUT with one major problem. After some 10-30 seconds, the audio drops. To get it back, I alter the volume level one step up and down in alsamixer but then again it drops. Turning on the log-level to 4 I got the following problem located (see log below).

It seems that's it's being underrun for one of the buffers. Googling about it, it has pointed to so many variables such as thread priority, buffer size and a lot of other things.

Does anyone know what the problem might be and what to change or guide on to find out what to tweak?
