Linux Mint 11 Desktop doesn't display icons of running programs on toolbar anymore
I recently installed Linux Mint 11 on a 9-year-old IBM-T40 laptop. After I got everything installed and configured to my liking, BAM! The desktop stopped showing me a little icon in the menu bar that indicated that a program was running. I can still cycle through my programs using ALT-TAB. But I miss those little icons.
I'm not talking about the icons that one can place on the desktop or the menu bar by left-clicking on the Menu icon, then right-clicking on a program name and selecting whether to place an icon in the panel. I'm talking about the sub bar that appears in the menu bar when a program runs.
I'm sure the fix is in the Gnome conf file, but I haven't a clue how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.
