But nowadays, things happen. I can safely assert, that this is one of my very favorite songs, today : Pomme - Les Séquoias |

Season in the Abyss

It is raining and all looks perfectly like automn.
I just had my lunch and will have to leave for work. This song is perfect, even if it talks about starting a new day at dawn with nothing but pleasant things and sights. Jean Ferrat - Au point du jour You can let it continue afterwards, this man has never bungled anything. Edit: If Pablo Neruda comes up, you absolutely should! |

Heli Deinboek - Fertiger
Two days ago, my favorite Bavarian radio station played an Austrian blues title. As usually, I have not undertood a single word, but now I know that this language is made for Blues. I cannot find the title in question (in plain German: „Quit talking to me about Christmas”) and I have not noted the artist's name. As a punishment, I dig out whatever Austrian Blues there is on YouTube. Changes me from the Chinese Guqin ( read: Kong Ziwen). Jesus! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vaU_...d4d7o&index=10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bclu...d4d7o&index=12 |
^ The Wolfgang Ambros song is nice. I can see how Austrian German is suitable for that sort of music.
Funny: this guy sings some sort of Austrian/English pidgin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9poxMDTTAc It was surprisingly hard to find blues not only by Austrian bands, but also sung in Austrian. This one is OK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MoWCnGxol3Q Not exactly blues but some sort of very distant dialect I really do not understand (and a fun video telling a familiar story): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmI2m06YFfc I like humour in music, and Austrian - both the language and the culture - seems well suited for this. My personal favourite (I'm sure I posted this before): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfX94EZWf8A (the whole album really) And this is the original Austrian Blues: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2juZC_AtE2w |

Also, Hubert von Goisern is such a monument, that I abstained from mentioning him yet again: Mercedes Benz, almost comprehensible German. |
The Poet Larry Beckett and others talk on BBC4 about the poem which had become Tim Buckley's song “Song to The Siren”.
Good Internet radios become rare in the shops. But I am awfully thankful to my wife to have found this Metronic radio. |

Ndidi - for a while, certainly.
This “Sugarman” evokes the arrangement of the original studio-version by Rodriguez and is better than the “unplugged” version. |
Deliverance ! Please.
I cannot get this out of my mind (one last wish - The song from the super-perforator publicity): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WPz81XENmg Define this. |
So why'd you share it with us! That was horrible!

I never got into South Park, in the first place, but I see how this is unnerving. Some layers of this kind of humour I just cannot penetrate, it makes me feel like disabled.
But do not worry.., I consider German Humour just as ... [there are ladies in the room]. They turned a nice little comedy into a musical, but kept some Austrian language. The worst is probably the clapping. Edit III: You are strong if you keep this running until the end. |
