Hazel* does occasionally miss out on the truer definition of "cultists" as we all are, being "human" thus far... not to divagateDot

Now if the Arsenic Drinkers were truly clever they would apply Homeopathy where so many apparently actually believe that if a substance is strong at 10,000 parts per 1,000,000 that somehow it's stronger if you dilute it to 0.01 part in 1,000,000.

?!
That is the same dose...
There is no difference in the volume of substance,
10,000/1,000,000 is equal to: part(0.01)(1,000,000).

Uh huh, and maybe such people ought to take a little wisdom from The Man, Himself.

One of His "temptations" was to "throw yourself down, because 'the Angels shall have charge over you that you may not strike your heel against a stone.'" The quote was real. But, the intention was not. To which the reply was: "Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God." (And He wasn't talking about Himself.) Being safeguarded by celestial powers is one thing. Purposely doing stupid things with the expectation that said powers will protect you from your stupidity and your defiance is not.

If you choose to do something deliberately stupid, and deliberately provocative, to try to "force God's hand," as it were, you're quite likely to die as a result ... and you'd more-or-less deserve it. Your cranium was placed between your earlobes for a purpose. The rules of the game of Life are not that you get to call all the shots, especially when Deities are involved.

And, if you subtract Deities from the picture altogether ... if you do not believe in them at all ... it's still pretty damned good advice. If you're stupid enough to pick up a snake or to drink poison, you're just competing for a Darwin Award.

If you mean that the amount of active substance remains the same that is true...just that one has to drink 1,000,000 times as much water to get it :) I suggest that if one diluted one's "nitecap" to that degree, newborns could safely drink a whole bottle. It would be far less alcohol, by a few orders of magnitude, than dipping one's index finger into a brandy bottle and touching it to his/her lips.

Religions boil down to: doing good for "mankind," we all want that! So, what else you got?:study::eek::study::eek::study:

Actually religion does not have all mankind as it's general purpose of good will Jamison20000e. What religion teaches is a small few will receive a benefit for their beliefs if they follow a set course of rules for the function of a society, or a society within a society. Religion has terms of segregation written into it. Each religion does this. If you convert to said religion, you become accepted, while if you turn away, you are chastised, shunned, or given any number of segregatory treatments ranging from simple avoidance to death penalties.

Once you see the problems of religion, you find yourself that you will eventually at odds with your religion. Religion may teach all are welcome, but then turn around and say certain groups are to be shunned. This is conflicting to the purpose of developing a relationship with whatever deity you have faith in as your creator and spiritual benefactor. If the Christian Bible says all people are created in God's image, but then religion says Transgender people are a mistake, that's basically saying God made a mistake, when the belief system says God makes no mistakes. That's like also stating if God wants a transgender or gay person to become a spiritual leader for a group, then God made a mistake because God would never choose a transgender or gay person, as if people actually can say they know God truly and understand what God is 100%. That then becomes heresy towards God and borderlines blasphemy.

Right. How can one be "reincarnated" if there's no "heaven" (also) on earth or versa vise?:confused::study::Pengy::newbie::tisk:
