Just to agree with Kooru. Not a cultural difference.

I nearly mentioned this last night, but decided it was too harsh. Now I have reconsidered.

The behavior as described could almost be described as, to put it bluntly, stalking.

Only to specify the reflection has been done by Anisha Kaul. I quoted her :D

It should come as no surprise that people in the second and third world have more developed social skills than many of us in the west - particularly among the youth... I encounter young people on a daily basis who have all but lost the ability to communicate in anything but text speak form...

As a society we're pushing these mobile devices and sites like facebook, down people's throats while at the same time telling them they need to get out and talk to people - face to face.

I don't think it has anything to do with technology at all. In my youth there was no such thing as a mobile phone and the world wide web was being formed for academics. Still, I never developed any social skills and I know people of a similar age whop didn't either. Some people are naturally awkward around others until they know them and lack the confidence to approach women directly. As the quotation earlier in the thread demonstrates men have been like this since before electronics existed.

I have officially been turned down

puppymagic 03-05-2013 03:28 PM

I was expecting a bunch of you to laugh at me and ridicule me and tell me, "we told you!"

but it appears nobody is even remotely interested. haha

it appears, everyone is like, "well, ok, next thread?"

273 03-05-2013 03:32 PM

I meant to reply:
That is what I expected but at least now you can close that door and get on with other things. Perhaps don't be so much "you captured my heart" with the next girl and be a bit more "How about we meet up for coffee?" and, if possible, do it in real life. Remember to take rejection like a man also "Oh well, that's a shame, I won't bother you again." should be the style rather than "Please! Please! Reconsider!!!!".
I type as one who has done things the wrong way many times.

puppymagic 03-05-2013 05:14 PM

There are many right things stated in this thread

It didn't mean anything to her that she won my heart

All she heard when I told her that was

Let me screw you some time

She realized that was not coming from the bottom of my heart and she said no

The right thing I should have said is

I want to get to know you more

jefro 03-05-2013 09:03 PM

I will tell you I am pretty old. In all my years I have learned one very important rule. All women are crazy. If you know that, you can then deal with it. Not some women, not most women, ALL women are crazy. You can't expect any logic to interfere with crazy. Don't waste any time on this girl, move on. You will get more chances to get turned down. Trust me on this.

My best advice is take it "like a man" and learn from it.

darksaurian 03-06-2013 12:00 AM

You should still follow her and see who she's dating.

I will be honest very few guys actually ask her out because she is very tall. Not a lot of guys do not ask out girls who are taller than her. That is also why I felt there was a chance for me ask and hear yes

I'm sure there are PLENTY of guys who ask her out, and don't care about her height at all.

And didn't you post this a short time back?

What you want to find, and I am sure you one day will find, is someone who knows all about you .. and loves you anyway.
