It should come as no surprise that people in the second and third world have more developed social skills than many of us in the west - particularly among the youth... I encounter young people on a daily basis who have all but lost the ability to communicate in anything but text speak form...

As a society we're pushing these mobile devices and sites like facebook, down people's throats while at the same time telling them they need to get out and talk to people - face to face.

I don't think it has anything to do with technology at all. In my youth there was no such thing as a mobile phone and the world wide web was being formed for academics. Still, I never developed any social skills and I know people of a similar age whop didn't either. Some people are naturally awkward around others until they know them and lack the confidence to approach women directly. As the quotation earlier in the thread demonstrates men have been like this since before electronics existed.

That is what I expected but at least now you can close that door and get on with other things. Perhaps don't be so much "you captured my heart" with the next girl and be a bit more "How about we meet up for coffee?" and, if possible, do it in real life. Remember to take rejection like a man also "Oh well, that's a shame, I won't bother you again." should be the style rather than "Please! Please! Reconsider!!!!".

I will tell you I am pretty old. In all my years I have learned one very important rule. All women are crazy. If you know that, you can then deal with it. Not some women, not most women, ALL women are crazy. You can't expect any logic to interfere with crazy. Don't waste any time on this girl, move on. You will get more chances to get turned down. Trust me on this.

My best advice is take it "like a man" and learn from it.

You should still follow her and see who she's dating.

I will be honest very few guys actually ask her out because she is very tall. Not a lot of guys do not ask out girls who are taller than her. That is also why I felt there was a chance for me ask and hear yes
