About the OP's question, how to block a site PERMANENTLY 4EVA , ask the "deer leader" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kim_Jong-il
... he knows plenty of ways of blocking things... :D .... permanently |

I though of a way to block it, but you will lose root access doing it. black list the site with root, then change root's password to something impossible to remember (maybe a PGP key) then simply delete the key and reboot, now root is gone forever and no one can take the site off the blacklist.

A reboot in single user mode, or off a live CD, and it's back to normal. Cheers, Tink |
Thanks to Tinkster for not strangling the throat of this thread :D

Oh yea... okay disable single user mode too by deleteing the init script and then copying and renaming the multi-user init script to single modes script...lol there now its impossible to get root back unless you take the harddrive out of the machine and change the contents of the drive via other machine or usb enclosure. as for the live cd thats easy to fix, make a kernel, initrd and necessary tools to preform whole disk encryption, store all these as well as a bootloader on a usb stick, encrypt the whole harddrive, partitions and all and then install linux on it, now give the usbkey to your manager and ask him/her to safe guard it and tell him he has to turn your computer on with the password he chose... now only he can reboot and start up the computer removing the possibility of a livecd because even if you had one and the necessary stuff to preform the decryption.... if he chose the password that means if he setup with a 2048 bit key RSA all i can say is have fun trying to force that with a normal desktop machine. |
