go for Zod-binary-i386. thats fc6.

theoldnyx 02-03-2007 08:29 PM

what about Zod-binary-x86_64 i read that sempron 2800 support 64 bit technology

Hitboxx 02-03-2007 11:15 PM

If the processor supports 64bit you can go for Zod x86_64. I'm using the same here, but be advised you will have to tweak a little bit here and there albeit initially and once everything is properly setup, 64bit is a breeze.

just for the sake of completeing what i have started
any one who is reading this should go to http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/insta...chitecture.html to know the difference between
Zod-binary-i386
Zod-binary-x86_64
Zod-binary-ppc
for me i will go for i386

Not all Semprons support 64 bit, so before downloading the 64 bit version of FC6, make sure your system supports 64 bit.

I have a sempron 2800+, which is not 64bit.
