removing packages dnf & yumex

Hi-

when I add a package it seems that fedora adds software. when I take away the package fedora doesn't take the extra packages away or list them to let me know. It seems synaptic did it different. what am I doing wrong? It there a trick?

thanks for any help!

hi-

I am fooling with dnf autoremove and the command package-cleanup --leaves. I am hoping those commands will help.

thx.

HI-

NOPE. Not working. If I install the package tidy, when I go to remove it or with some command, it should detect that libtidy needs to get removed. Any ideas on what I can do to have the desired behavior? I had noticed this and it bothered me before, but now I am actually looking into it more carefully because I am making a decision on keeping fedora or switching. I'd rather keep fedora and hope there is a fix or repair available for this!

thx. very much,
jim
