No, the devs did their job properly - everyone ignored it until they had no option.
yum is still acceptable in F22, it just bitches and moans. I have both F22 and CentOS, so I get mixed up (lazy) sometimes - hence the alias suggestion.

That's what I thought. Although I don't get too deep with Fedora as I mainly explore it to have a toehold in the Red Hat world, I haven't noticed much of a difference, although dnf seems more elegant.
