Dear Sir,

I have downloaded Fedora 14 Live CD.

But there is no gcc package in Fedora 14 Live CD.

Can i add gcc package in Fedora 14 Live CD.

If it is possible how? Plz explain

I was booting in Live CD. Suppose i installed gcc package when i restart the machine the package is automatically removed. How to install permanently.

You can either install Fedora to your hard drive or you can customize your live cd and create a new iso out of it to burn to another cd.

or you could just download and install it everytime you boot the cd. Or download to usb stick then install it from there everytime you boot the cd.

You cannot permanently change anything in a Live CD environment.

The only choices are to modify the Live CD or install Fedora to your hard drive (installing will make it much faster, too, since the hard drive is much faster than the CD drive).

Easy.

Install the package. Then use a disk imaging program to make an ISO of your entire filesystem, then burn that to a new disk/dvd.

If your computer can boot from USB memory, you can transfer the live CD to a USB stick; then you can add software to it. I think there are instruction on this at the Fedora site.
