Problems with libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 on Debian
Iam trying to install VNC on Lenny. Upon running the script for starting VNC Server on Lenny, iam getting the message "error while loading shared libraries : libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 : No such File or Directory ".
It seems that libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 is unavailable in Lenny. Is there any way to overcome this problem and run VNC Server on Lenny ? Please advice, thanks in advance |
check this url, it seems to be helpful..
m sorry if you had already gone thro it.. http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...2.so.3-173401/ |
yes, i checked that one . It is for Fedora and they have given the rpm which includes that particular library.
Similiarly how we will get information about the corresponding .deb file in which the particular library is included ?? or which .deb in have to install in orded to proceed ?? |
The package is available for Debian Etch :
libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2 http://packages.debian.org/etch/libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2 and provides /usr/lib/libstdc++-3-libc6.2-2-2.10.0.so /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 And it is no problem having it installed on Debian Lenny. ( I use it for the old g++-2.95 ) ...... |
If you are using Debian Lenny 64-bit, you can find the solution here: http://www.how2forge.info/fix-error-...ibc6-2-2-so-3/
