gimp libexif9 problem
hello,
I want to install the Gimp with apt-get on debian Sid When doing "apt-get install gimp" I get the following The following packages have unmet dependencies: gimp: Depends: libexif9 but it is not installable E: Broken packages and an explanation that I am using debian unstable and should file a bug report ... Is this a temporary problem with the debian sid, or can I do something to fix it (or have it fixed)? I had to reinstall my sytem (to change my HD partitioning), have been unsing debian sid and the gimp (new version) before the reinstall without a problem. many thanks! joachim |
problem fixed!
this was on packages.debian.org: libexif9 [i386] Package not available this package, on wich gimp seems to depend, is only available in debian 'testing' sarge... so I got the libexif9.deb from the testing distribution and installed it with dpkg -i after that installed the gimp with out a problem! should I report this problem or is it normal with the testing distro that such things happen? I don't want to bother the debian guys if it isn't necessary. |
