boot issue after nvidia install

ok im fairly new to linux and i messed up bad:\ i have windows8 i set up a duel boot for kali. i followed the kali docs walkthrough for the nvidia driver installation. "apt-get install nvidia-kernel-dkms". i went to remove something with apt-get remove and "nvidia-kernel-dkms" popped back up and ran. didnt think anything of it really because nothing seemed wrong at the time. when i rebooted later grub showed up normal with my dual boot options. when i sect kali it starts loading like normal buts its like as soon as it tries to start loading the GUI i get nothing except a little screen that says something went wrong and a little selection tab that i think says logout. so frusterated. was to the point of just saying forget it and reinstalling kali but dont even know if i can sin its on the duel boot. ka is on a partition i set up on kali. could i just remove the partition? or does anyone know how to solve the boot issue? any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's problematic. If you don't know what it is you tried or did remove, no one else here does either and complicates attempts at resolution. When you boot do you see 'something went wrong' or is there more detail? If more detail, post it. I think your next best step is to post more details and you can do that by getting the boot repair script and burning it to a CD. Once that is done, boot from the CD and select the optin to Create BootInfo Summary and post the output here.
