I'm proud to announce the addition of a Linux - News, Articles and Editorials section to LinuxQuestions.org. This forum will allow original articles and editorial pieces to be posted to LQ. It will also allow for the discussion of the latest Linux News. Please note that all new threads posted to the forum will be moderated and will not show up until they are approved. If you'd like to become a regular contributor to this section, please contact us. This is a fantastic way to contribute to LQ and to gain exposure. Visit http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=233033 for more information, including how to syndicate the latest articles. Goto http://www.linuxquestions.org/news/ for the latest LQ news and articles.
LQ ISO ( http://iso.linuxquestions.org/ ) already has over 75 Linux distribution versions available for download. If you see any distributions missing, click the "Suggest Additions" link and let us know. Don't forget to rate the download mirrors you use after your download completes. If you have any suggestions on how the site can be improved, let us know.
Rob Flynn, Maintainer of the gaim project, recently took time out of his busy schedule to do an email interview with LinuxQuestions.org. In the interview, Rob tells us how he got involved with the gaim project, what Linux distribution he prefers, where gaim is headed now that version 1.0 has been released and how the gaim Ebay auctions ended up. He also gives his opinion on the best and worst IM protocols. Read http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/t234803.html the full interview.
LinuxQuestions.org will be in the .Org Village for the upcoming LinuxWorld in London. I'll be in the booth along with some of the mods. If you get a chance, stop in the expo and say hello. If you'd like to help offset some of the cost of the trip, visit http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hp?pg=donation for information on making a donation. All funds donated before the trip will go to help cover our costs. Thanks for your support.
