no auth sufficient pam_ldap.so in my /etc/pam.d/system-auth file
hi guys,
watching some RHCSA training videos, but using Centos 7 to practice etc. on a module of setting up ldap i was following instruction, but it looks different to what i have on my Centos 7 machine,is this just one of the slight differences between a true Red Hat server and a centos server? there is no no auth sufficient pam_ldap.so in my /etc/pam.d/system-auth file like in the video or am i missing the point here? |
Greetings,
Well, on Gentoo, pam_ldap is a separate package that has to be installed (along with nss_ldap) before anything may show up in the PAM configs regarding LDAP. Are you sure pam_ldap installed? HTH. Let us know. |
hi shadowcat
installed the packages you recommended 1 was already installed still no ldap option anything else you can think of? |
after running authconfig-tui and selecting ldap i then saw the entry in the /etc/pam.d/system-auth file
thanks for your help |
