I need to create a local repository with all of the latest updates for Centos 6.6 after a fresh install and then apply them in a controlled environment.
I know that I need to use Createrepo to create the local repository, but I don’t know how to capture all of the rpm’s that are pulled down from an “yum update”. I read that yumdownloader will allow me to download specific rpm’s and not install them, but I don’t see an option to download “all” rpm’s and their associated dependencies for my system after a fresh install.
In summary, I’m looking to install a system from scratch with Centos 6.6, download all the latest packages, add them to a local repository and then apply them locally.
No, that is not what I'm looking for. Yum list installed gives me everything that is currently installed after completing my installation. I need to know what packages would be installed if I ran "yum update" after the installation so that I can capture those and add them into my local repository. Further, I would rather not have to manually download every single updated RPM as this would take some time.
