Hello,
GIMP! GIMP! GIMP! |
yet another portable app that's become indispensable for me. GIMP,
Man Scribus is an awesome app. But why compare apples and oranges. I voted Scribus to give it the recognition it needs. It does its job in its field better than any of the others do their jobs in their fields.
well, i voted SCRIBUS because GIMP is obvious general gfx app. i had to take some stuff to press recently and was totally impressed with SCRIBUS. i have been recommending it with GIMP (yes gimp is good) to all the printing houses i do business with :P
Krita doas it for me....
Been using GIMP for years now, even when I was on Windows. Just now learning Scribus for print.
Pixel
I'd like to nominate Pixel (http://www.kanzelsberger.com ) . It may not be opensource, but it beats every other app i've tried over the years.
I voted for Blender but I wanted to vote for Gimp & Inkscape as well. I use all three together & they serve as the best proof I have that open source is the way to go.
Blender forever! Gimp is ok, but not the best. Dia is pretty useful too, but wasn't on the list.
Why isn't Art of Illusion a choice? If that's because it uses some proprietary Sun APIs then fine, but I like AOI better than Blender. Well, my vote is the GIMP.
i'll never have anything other than gimpshop
gimp is a reference
inkscape is an awesome application blender is breath taking its not fair but i vote for blender |

UFraw plugin would be yet one reason, except that it's not part of the "official" GIMP. And at the moment it fills my needs only partially; it's a grief that manufacturers create only Windows programs. |
Inkscape, partly because 'The Gimp' seems to have become a little stuck in it's evolution.
