I'm not to sure what exactly this thread is about, but I'm just going to chime in and say that link is way more accurate than what the OP had. The OP's image shows Xenix and SCO in 2 different part of the time line. When in fact it should be merged into the same space, as SCO bought Xenix from Microsoft back in the 1980's and continued that version of Unix in the with their branding. (Like your linked image shows it...) That and your linked image goes way more in depth with what the version history is. Which I find very useful.

@un1x: Not exactly sure what your link to some outdated students' (?) website for installing FreeBSD 7.0 proves?

It is amazing that few or two persons, or more, may have initiated so much for the coming years.

Like physics, maybe out to get a Nobel Price of Informatics ?
It is never too late to recognize their ingenious research.
