Description: "What a better time than Christmas to bring all the best from 2010 into an updated release of Linux Mint 'Debian'. All Mint 10 features; 64-bit support; performance boost (using cgroup, the notorious '4 lines of code better than 200' in user-space); installer improvements (multiple HDDs, GRUB install on partitions, swap allocation, Btrfs support); better fonts (using Ubuntu's libcairo, fontconfig and Ubuntu Font Family) and language support; better connectivity and hardware support; better sound support (addressing conflicts between Pulse Audio and Flash); updated software and packages."

Pros: stable, easy to use, appealing appearance
Cons: non-free handling of nvidia drivers

Beside the handling for installing the nvidia-driver (how it is in debian, but not in ubuntu, though there's that sudo-thing), it's faboulous in terms of usability. I'm abosolutly happy to run it. There are a lot of configuration possibilities for the user and i had no problems so far.

There's even a backup tool which let's you backup a list of all packages that have been installed and specified directories.

There are also a lot of multimedia-apps.

THUMBS UP, I'm with Linux Mint Debian Edition now and for a while :)! Take a look, you won't regret it...

Pros: easy to set up, lots of fun to use
Cons: none so far

I love Mint.

Have used a few distros through the years, though I am still very much a novice with Linux, and I always come back to Mint.

Was having trouble getting another distro installed because of my NVIDIA graphics card. A little searching, and I found out Mint had already addressed the issue! With version 201101 no more issues, it installed with no problems at all.

Highly recommend it.
