Pros: Fast, stable, Good looking easy to use user interface
Cons: not the latest hardware support

For people who want to have a nice, good looking desktop system with an older computer Mepis would be a very good choice. Over here I got a lot of hardware support issues with the standard settings (I got the latest hardware), and I compiled a new kernel with full support myself, but it's not recommended for people new to Linux. In my opinion KDE 3.5 is still the best window manager available for Linux. A user-friendly, simple user interface with all functionality on board.
