Zorin OS 12: change 24 hour time to 12 hour time display

I have been searching for a way to get 12 hour time displayed in Zorin 12. I can get to time and date settings several ways, but there is no selection there for changing the format. Going batty subtracting 12 from the displayed time in the afternoons and evenings.

Where is the time being displayed? It's the gnome desktop apparently, you could try googling for that.

I think the settings for this if memory serves are under personal under settings. I will confirm if you find nothing.

Not sure about Zorin specifically, but the easiest way would be to right click the clock and pull up the time format setting. Just change %R to %r and you will have a 12 hour clock.

Its a gnome3 gui so right click the clock should go to settings. Might have to change it than long out and back in.

1. Go to settings in Zorin
2. search "time"
3. Select "date & time"
4. Change the time format from "24hour" to "AM/PM"

Good luck!
