My isp is Cox Comunications, which supports, pop3 and smtp, and apparently nothing else. Cox will allow me up to 10 email boxes. So I am looking for a Linux preferably Deban based email program,that is 1. still supported (Thunderbird is not) 2. pop3 & smtp capable and 3. relatively easy to install either through the terminal or graphically.
Thunderbird (in Debian: Iceweasel) is still supported and can be used without any problems. Alternatives would be Claws Mail, KMail, Evolution, ... .
You should find them all in the Debian repositories.
By the way, if you are unhappy with the offers from your ISP (it sounds that way), why not just use something different?
