zenwalk 4.0 on VMware workstation

Hi !
i can not get work this distro on vmware !
the problem is that there is no partition..
how can i create the 2 partition (the swap and the normal one where zenwalk is going to be installed) ?
thanks

well that's just part of the installation process. as long as you create a new scsi disk image for it, the installer should do that with you. you could always boot it with a live cd like DSL to make partitions if zenwalk can't, but i'm sure it can just fine.

the installer do nothing !
i think i must use fdisk, cfdisk to make the partition.
the problem is that i have never used this tools...:(

I think cfdisk is pretty easy to use, even for a "not linux guru", and there's a lot of howtos on the web.
Anyway install should help you to do it (parted or cfdisk, i don't remember).

Some contribs use vmware without problem (on different configs). I used it myself with clean virtual ide disks, on vmware server.

Could your problem come from a bad iso (did you checked the md5) ?

no, i have not check the md5 of the iso.
i'll do it later...hope to get wrong md5 to avoid "reading how to" on fdisk...
thanks
