Tar.Gz (pacman -command ) instead of apt-get =)
pacman is faster.

Favourite Current Yoper Features:
Speed and responsiveness. I used to run SuSE but since I tried Yoper I would have a hard time turning back.
Quick installation with good default features.
Nice look!
Programs That Need Work:
The only program I have run into trouble with is apt-get. Running Yoper 2.1.0-4 and trying to upgrade with apt-get the process freezes every now ant the, irregular. Which ends up in me have to removing duplicated packages and rerun apt-get numerous times.
What I Want in Yoper:
I would like to see PureFTPd
And support for LVM or LVM2, nice feature with logical volume manager.
Regards

We are going to have a look at a new way of managing packages that will hopefully eliminate those annoying apt hangs.

I think all these mixes might not play nice?
How about going either apt-get 100% or pacman 100% or maybe even urpmi if it wants to be on rpm.
I just dont know why rpm, I read it on distrowatch, rpm is not good.

its not only the rpm's, its the apt system. a properly built rpm is great, and is as good, if not better, than a deb.
we are also going to have more quality control over packages in the future by having a testing period for them before they are released, so we wont have anymore broken packages.
