Hmm...
Why are ye at the Yoper forum?
Ya need to post on the general Linux distro forum, or the Linux Software forum. If you want it for a specific distro like you said, go to the Deb / Slack forums and ask.
Yoper has built in Reiser4 and its easy to use (In stable)...so...why yer here, I dunno ;-)

what you need to do is ask on a more specialised forum, either the distros or one on filesystems (or with a filesystems section). Us at Yoper wouldn't have a clue how to install reiserfs4 because all the hard work has already been done for us.
Sorry I could not help you more.

You need:
kernel support for reiser4
latest reiserfsprogs
a reiser4 formatted partition
It's that simple :-)
But realy, if you want to know how to use distro X's installer with reiser4 go ask on distro X's forum :-)
ANY distro can use reiser4 as long as support is compiled into the kernel and the fstab is set up properly, whether the installer will do this for you is annother matter altogether.
Steve.

Is there kernel support for lets say the 2.6.7 kernel? Or is just a patch right now? What I mean is it standard yet in the kernel?

It is in the kernel now as far as I know, but don't quote me on that. Either way it seems fairly stable. forums.gentoo.org has some intensive discussions / speed comparisons if you want more info :-)

www.gentoo.org click forums
Anyway all that's required, is to format a partition with reiser4, and then put a new kernel on the livecd that supports reiser4. For that you'll need an -mm patch off of www.kernel.org and then have to respin the livecd...that can be difficult if you don't know how to do it (I don't so don't ask )
