Partition Problem

I make the Linux partition (ext3) and the Linux swap partition (linux-swap) and commit my changes, then when I continue the install it says it can't find any Linux partitions. This happened the first time I installed Yoper and then I did something on accident (and I forget what) and it worked. I can't figure out how to make it recognize the partition since, as far as I know, I've done everything correctly.

I had the same problem
Seems that when you say you want to install the /home directory on a linux partition it goes to list the list linux partitions and it can't find any. Must be some glitch in the code. All you did was say cancel to the question of installing /home directory to a linux partition and then on the next question it asked about where to install the /root directory. Say ok or whatever the right answer is and the install will display the correct linux partitions for install.

As far as I can tell saying cancel to installing the /home directory hasn't effected my installation at all.

Yoper is the GREATEST!!!

Ah! Thanks, I'll go try that now. Do the programmers know about that bug?

I was just tinkering with the installation on another computer and I think I figured it out better.
I'm no linux guru so i'm not sure exactly what all this means

if you create 2 linux partitions 1 can be used for the /home partition and then the other would be used for the /root partition. The new computer I put it on had 2 linux partitions so it asked me if I wanted to use either of those partitions.

I guess it's just a security feature that seperates the /home and /root so no one or yourself will mess the up the directorys.
