How do I log on as root in Yoper 2010.? I know about the hazards but it
is useful sometimes.

If you mean to log in to you X session as root, you really shouldn't do it - there's no valid reason for it.
If you mean to temporarily log in as root from the command line to do some admin stuff, just type:

Code:

su

+ Enter and your root password.
I don't know that distro. if there's no root password enabled by default, then try:

Code:

sudo root passwd

and type a USER password. It'll ask you to type the new root password (+ confirm the root password).
Afterwards, you'll be able to log in with 'su'.

In the past I was able to make changes to a certain file in order to log
in as root. With Yoper I don't know the name of this configuration file or it's location though etc would be a safe bet.Any help would be appreciated.
