Hi,

Well , I am glad it worked for you. We haven't actually tested this. I know some people like this feature, but we simply haven't played around with this functionality to ensure everything is allright. However as long as the /home partition is on the usbdisk too , the user settings should be persistent.

Can you tell in more detail, what problems you're facing ?

regards

Persistence / Yoper.

Hi,

I didn't do anything about my home partition.

Actually since I am root I did not touch /home.

Under /root I just made a test file :
# echo Hello Yoper > my_test_file

After I reboot my_test_file is gone.

What should I do, so that my_test_file is kept even if I shutdown ?

One important point (if not obvious here) :
I am just booting the live cd from a USB key. I am not talking about the OS installed on hard disk.

Bye

About /home

Do I need to do something to set /home on the USB stick I am booting from ?
