Hopefully Simple Question

Hello i am trying to install a new Kmenu. I have have done this before in many distros. I Yoper I have done the same. Taken the PNG file that I want as my kmenu icon an d copied it over to the directory that hosts the icon file. THis all goes well. I still get the same kmenu only when I highlight it, it shows me my icon that I really want as my menu. I cannot get rid of the "Y" icon. please if you can help me that would be great. thanks !

very hard one
do a file search for y*.png
as invariably it should be yoper something

also browse hidden home files such as .kde and see if you spot any suspicious Y icon there.
and experiment.

Ready...I'm sure there is an ezer way but this is the only way I know how.

First go log into root (KDE desktop) (I didn't use the terminal, thats just to hard) then
go to file:/usr/share/icons/slick/22x22/apps find the .png called kmenu.png put the png you would like to have for the Kmenu in its place (you have to rename to
kmenu.png.
note: the 22x22 is the icon size I'm assuming if you have a diffrerent icon size you will have to go into the appropriate folder.

Now if you have Icon zooming enabled you have to go into
file:/usr/share/icons/slick/32x32/apps and change that one as well again note the 32x32 and if you are using a diffrent icon theme as well.
I'm using slick theme but in the file:/usr/share/icons you will see the one you are using. To find out what one you are using go to icons in your control center/apperaces and themes/ icons.

Hope this helps.
