Disable ACPI on install


My computer has a strange problem... that is I have no ACPI. I really want to use Yoper, but I have no clue how to disable ACPI on intall.

ACSI, do you mean ACPI? If so, at the boot prompt whilst loading from CD or floppy disk to start the install, there should be a text box or option to edit the boot parameters, where you simply type in "noacpi", without the quotes, and then start your install as normal. Otherwise, let us know a little more about what you'r trying to do and why it needs to be disabled.
