Corrupted Files???

I recently tried Yoper (this was a couple of days ago) and since then I have switched back to SUSE for the time being, but I am planning on dual-booting the 2 since Yoper's speed makes working with it great. But anyways, I didn't realize that Java was already installed so I went to java.com and downloaded the self extracting file to install java. It reported when I tried to execute the file however that the file was corrupted. These files work on any other distribution of Linux, so I do not understand why it keeps reporting that the file is corrupted. I even tried downloading it on another computer running SUSE and then transfering it over to the Yoper computer and it still didn't work. Does anyone know what causes this problem?

Alright, thank you. I think I might reinstall Yoper on another partition on my harddrive tonight, I don't know why, but there is something I really like about Yoper, other than its speed.

It still has a long way to go beforeit replaces SUSE on my harddrive though .
