Amarok: Musicbrainz button greyed out
 

Hi Guys,

When I open Amarok and look in edit meta information, the "Fill-in Tags Using MusicBrainz" button is grayed out.

When I tried to find an answer, everyone seemed to think that I should recompile with all the correct dependencies filled.

I would prefer to keep my system totally rpm managed, so would like to find an alternative solution.

Packages that I have installed that may be relevant:
amarok 1.1-3
libmusicbrainz 2.1.1-1
libtunepimp 0.3.0-1


Anyone see any issues that I have otherwise missed?

I'm having the same problem now with:

libmusicbrainz-2.1.1-3
libtunepimp-0.3.0-3
amarok-1.2.3-5

the weird thing is that it was working fine for about a week and than stopped. I did not update anything in the system that should have caused this.

Be sure taglib is installed.

It was. After much frustration trying to find the cause, I finally just upgraded those three packages from the SuSE to the Guru RPM's & it works again. Go figure.

Glad you have it working. amaroK is a must have. And the Musicbrainz tagging library makes it that much better.
