How to turn on Windows or Super key on VectorLinux

I've been using Vector for a couple of years now on new and old machines alike, even my netbook is VL. I started with it after a short stint with Ubuntu and even as a Newbie I've had very little trouble with it.

There is one thing I would like to get working though. I use compiz a lot and the key combinations rely on the super or windows key. For some reason this key is always deactivated in the VL set-up.

How can I turn this on.

I've had this happen to me from time to time--I have no idea if it's a distro thing or xorg thing. I've always been able to fix it by creating a $HOME/.xmodmaprc file that reads

Code:

keycode 115 = Super_L
add Mod4 = Super_L

then running xmodmap ~/.xmodmaprc

Note the period in front of the xmodmaprc
