dual booting vectorlinux 5.1 & suse 9.3

Using two hard drives how can I get these OSs to dual boot? Vectorlinux is on the primary hard drive and suse 9.3 on the second. Vectorlinux uses lilo and suse 9.3 uses grub. Is there any way I can edit the configuration files to make this possible?

Probably the easiest is to edit grub.conf adding an entry for Vector Linux or edit lilo.conf adding an entry for SuSE. The GRUB manual explains how.

Another way might be to edit grub.conf to chainload LILO you should be in business. I'm not familiar with LILO so I don't know if you can chainload GRUB. Anyway, the GRUB manual that explains how to chainload.

There are some multi-boot grub.conf examples here.

I'm sure lilo can chain, how else did it boot "Winders" on old dual-boot installations?

Unfortunately, I only know GRUB, so I can't tell you how to do this. I hope it's some help to know that you can, you just have to find the HOWTO.

Dual booting Vectorlinux 5.1 & Suse 9.3

I installed Suse 9.3 on the primary drive and installed VectorLinux 5.1 on the second drive and installed lilo to a floppy to boot VectorLinux. This solved the problem.

If you're OK w/ that, fine. But it's not that hard to add a chainloading stanza to lili.conf. The key "other = " instead of "image = ", as I implied before Find & R tFM's:
