Can I convert my Vector Soho install to Slackware-current?

Can I convert my Vector Soho install to Slackware-current via swaret or gslapt or some other means. This way I would be able to access slackware current and maybe cut down on my dependency issues with using linuxpackages.net for slack 10.1.

Is the kernel simply upgradeable via gslapt or does it need to be unlocked first?

These are perhaps silly questions.

No, you cannot convert Vector Soho to Slackware.

And LinuxPackages.net packages are not good to use -- but you're learning that.

If you mean upgrading the kernel in Slackware, you can use the
official Slackware kernel in -current and there are instructions
for upgrading it easily.
