I have been away for awhile, I have answers to your questions

Sorry to everyone that your questions have been unfifulfilled for so long. I have been in the midst of personal and financial crisis. Being that Ultra X Linux is open source and I dont make money off of it; unfortunatly it had to be put on hold. I have created Ultra X Linux and the Official web site on my own, by myself. I think this may have played a part in the ruin of my marriage. Now Im back and version 2.0 will be released soon, no release date as of yet. Sorry.
Version 2.0 has a faster more stable kernel; if you thought it was fast before wait till you get your hands on version 2.0.

There are improvments on the GUI and backgrounds. as well as virtual root and more features that will make your head spin.

Now I will explain Ultra X Linux is a Derivitive of Ubuntu 8.04 The kernel version doesnt matter as because it is definently not stock as per the articles circulating about it. Check out the review at downloadtube.com http://www.downloadtube.com/blog/200...faster-kernel/ .

The purpose of Ultra X Linux to exist is to give users a operating system that is packed full of features and not to compromise speed. If you install it then you will see the difference in speed compared to Ubuntu. Dont get me wrong Ubuntu is great and fast but for those who like speed and an OS that is a little different then you will love Ultra X Linux.

There are so many questions I have encountered that there is no way that I can answer all of them at one time.

Please if you have questions email me at admin@ultraxlinux.org and I will try to anser them as timely as possible.

Please accept my appologies on the sub standard web site but I was busy building and developing and operating system at the time.

UNIX was'nt built in a day.

Thank you to everyone,

Chris Paradise "creator of Ultra X Linux"

DEAR 'Designer' of UltraX

I have looked at your 'website' and OS. I feel really sad if these were the main components in the ruination of your marriage. Please leave the concept of distribution management to people who know what they are talking about. This is anything but a different OS. It is a cut rate version of a fabulous OS (Ubuntu). Your website is sub-par. It doesn't even seem as much a website as a greasy, little spot on the internet where the 'webmaster' ( I use that term very loosely) is attempting to accrue residual income from click-through marketing. My advise,... steer clear of ever mentioning this venture again until you have: A)- retool the ENTIRE presence of Ultra X Linux B)- make repairations to your marriage (marriage and relationships are true gold) C)- build a team to help you re-launch this project so it won't be so it will in no way, shape, or form remind anyone of your epic fail (i.e. - the initial release of UltraX)
