ypops problem?

Where I find a deb package of ypops? I use an rpm package that I convert with alien. But when I execute ypops in terminal give me the error
Code:

/usr/bin/ypops: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Or where I find libssl.so.4?

ypops is a programm to read mails from yahoo in thunderbird. We need ypops because yahoo don't have a pop/smtp service. Who knows another programm to do this.

In Thunderbird, I use an series of extensions to access my Yahoo (free) and my Hotmail accounts. I haven't had any troubles with these extensions. They are:

Webmail 1.0.11

along with:

Webmail-Yahoo 1.1.1

and

Webmail-Hotmail 1.0.5

Works wonderfully on my Ubuntu 6.06.1 system with T-Bird 1.5.0.5

Best of luck to you!

Are your account in yahoo "@yahoo.com"? How you configure the thunderbird to yahoo? I install the Webmail-Yahoo 1.1.1 and Webmail 1.0.11 but when I click on webmail-yahoo setting give an error...
I can not receive mails with webmail-yahoo. My configuration:
pop--> pop.yahoo.mail.com
smtp --> smtp.mail.yahoo.com

Yes, my address is @yahoo.com. It's a free account.

The settings for Yahoo in Thunderbird must be as follows:

POP server: localhost -- port 1100

SMTP server: localhost -- port 2500

Luck!

Works fine. Thanks vtel57.
But don't download the mails in bulk folder...

In T-bird, go to Tools --> Extensions --> click on the Webmail-Yahoo to highlight it --> click on Preferences at the bottom of the Extensions window --> set your Yahoo preferences to pick up junk mail too.

Glad you got it working!

Later...

My problem is when I double click in webmail I put port:1100 then I receive mais of yahoo but not from from hotmail port:1500. If I put 1500 I just receive mails from hotmail not from yahoo. How i do that?

You need to make sure you have all three extensions installed, like I posted above:

and

Webmail-Hotmail 1.0.5
Set the server up for Hotmail the same as Yahoo... POP=1100, SMTP=2500. This is for a standard Hotmail account, not MSN or Hotmail Beta.
