synaptic install always wants cd - xubuntu

Every time I try to install something through Synaptic it asks me to insert the cd that I used to install the system. Is there any way to avoid this?

Also I was wondering how I can edit my main menu. You can't do much in the Menu Editor, and I was wondering if there was just a text file that I could go through and edit manually?

Thanks like always.

In Synaptic, go to Settings, Repositories and uncheck any CD media selected there. Now it will always download packages from the internet.
