xubuntu - network problem

I just installed xubuntu.

I can ping local machines and the local router, but I can not ping yahoo.com. I can however ping 66.94.234.13 (yahoo's IP). But I can not get to the yahoo site.

I have another debian box connected to the same router, it is not having any network problems.

DNS issue?

You again huh!!

Well this might be simple.... check the file /etc/resolv.conf and compare it to the debian machine, I'm betting they dont match. If they do happen to match, try putting yahoo's IP into the browser and see if it comes up...

This an Actiontec DSL Gateway by anychance? They like to put themselves as a dns.. Different versions of DHCP will behave differently with it...
