xubuntu desktop does not start

On a working Ubuntu system ver "2.6.15-28-server" I installed kubuntu desktop using "sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop"

Like the instructions found here: http://www.debianadmin.com/install-k...in-ubuntu.html

The problem is i do not see any of the desktops gnome or kde anymore. When rebooted it boots in kubuntu blue style but finishes of with completing the blue progressbar and shortly flashing the terminal view and then back to the blue progress bar all in dark blue

No desktop

Here is the Xorg.0.log with some error - (I am not familiar with repairing ubuntu systems)
