Can't get Xara to start under Ubuntu. I downloaded the tarball, extracted, everything hunky dory. But when I click on the binary, it won't start, although the permissions are set to executable.

I do not get any error messages, just nothing happens when I click on the executable.

It worked fine under Debian. But Debian won't work on this laptop.

Any tips out there?

Try instead with the command in a terminal :

'cd Xara/' and next './xara' ( replace with actual names)

and see if you get any errors ....
