Back up all your Xandros work and settings (the /home folder, essentially).
During the Ubuntu install process, you'll be asked whether you want to reformat the entire hard drive or edit the partition table manually--choose the latter.
Then, select the current Xandros partition to be formatted as ext3-type filesystem and mounted as /
Later in the install process, it'll say it recognizes Windows as another OS. It'll ask whether you want to install Grub to the MBR. Answer yes.
