Wireshark - Launch as root from the dashboard?

Once you've placed Wireshark's launcher in Ubuntu's dashboard, is there any way to modify it so you can launch Wireshark as root?

Modifying the launcher to be run as root implies you'll always be running it as root. Running Wireshark as root is an unnecessary risk if you just want to capture packets for later analysis: use tcpdump or use tshark with sudo. When done chmod and chown the capture file so your unprivileged user can access it and launch Wireshark from that account. (Only if there's no other way and if you're that knowledgeable you know exactly what you're looking for should you capture and analyze traffic on the fly and as root. That being a one-off you should not modify the launcher but use Wireshark through gksu or kdesu.)

Question No gksu or kdesu in Fedora

Using Fedora as my distro now. No gksu or kdesu in here. Is using plain old sudo ok to launch Wireshark?
