[QUOTE=jdruin;3361090]I am buying Toshiba L355D-S7825 in order to get a reasonable laptop on a tight budget. I plan to put Ubuntu on after kicking around various distros. There are 2 pieces of hardware that have me concerned based on other posts.
- Atheros Wireless LAN (802.11b/g)
- Graphics: ATI RADEON X1250 128-831MB dynamically allocated shared
Will Ubuntu work ok with this wireless card and this graphics chip set?
The best way to find out is to boot the live CDROM and take it for a spin. Below is a thread on how to work around a video incompatibility. I don't think you'll have a problem, though.

As for the wireless card, I think you can enter your network key with the live CDROM and surf the 'net slowly. The next thread isn't an answer, but it seems to suggest that your network hardware is supported.
