wifi network manager stopped working
hi people . Im using Ubuntu 6.06 and everythings updates as it has wanted to so in theory everything is up to date, however a few days ago (and without reason so far as i can see) my network manager stopped functioning correctly. before when i started ubuntu i would get a unlock keyring pretty much straight away after login, and nm-applet would be connected to my WPA network in about 5 seconds.
now though the nm-applet in my status bar just keeps going around and around until it gives up, in the list of networks i see mine and a few others as before, but now there are no images of keys next to certain ones which indicated encryption. i've tried reinstalling network-manager and network-manager-gnome packages and the wpasupplicant but its the same old story.
the only way i can get network manager to connect (sometimes) is to choose connect to other wireless network and fill in the necessities there but this only works about 1 in 10 times so is somewhat pointless.
i'm using ndiswrapper ontop of a broadcom card (not sure of the exact model) which worked fine with nm-tool and applet for months until now :S
any suggestions would be very much appreciated, thanks
