Why isn't my .conf working

Hi LQ,

I have this post in the server forum and a member suggested this might be a Ubuntu specific thing so I thought I'd post it here as well. http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi....php?p=5348110

Any tips in the direction would be helpful.
