where should I find the <trash> folder?

hallo, I'm usung hardy and I encountered a very very stupid problem ;-)

I erased some files probably as the root-user, and now my problem is that when I try to empty my user trash (appearing with the "full-side" icon), some files continue to remain into the trash because I'm not allowed to erase them.

This sound me as a bug (I should not be able to see other user deleted files into my trash), anyway...how can I solve this problem? if someone help me finding out the Trash-folder, I could try a root access to that folder to erase them definitively.

thanks for waisting your time for me.

You'll find the solution in this LQ thread. The search function is quite useful.

The files can be found in the hidden directory ~/.local/share/Trash
