I execute a snmpwalk on my ubuntu boxes and I can see the deb packages listed under OID .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.6. but on my slackware boxes I receive the error: "hrSWInstalledTable produces No Such Object available on this agent at this OID"

After posting to the Slackware forum, I discovered that Ubuntu must be building that table as a separate step. Slackware apparently doesn't populate that table out of the box and requires a SNMP extension or a script to do so. Searching for such an extension and script for Slackware has been fruitless so far.

Question is: where can I find the Ubuntu/Debian SNMP extension or script that builds this hrSWInstalled table for OID .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.6? Maybe I can modify it to read /var/log/packages and provide the information formatted correctly when those OIDs are requested by the agent.
